We hope you enjoyed reading the Newsletter but if you had a problem
downloading and opening the newsletter in Adobe Acrobat, try the following:
When you click on the link provided on our website, it takes you directly
to the Download page on the Adobe website. When you fill in the required
information, if you have indicated that you are using Windows 98 or ME, it
will show the Acrobat 5 download, but if you have chosen Windows XP, it will
show the Acrobat 6 version. After you have downloaded and installed the free
Acrobat Reader 5 or 6, you may need to make a change to the configuration
of the reader.
To do this:
1. Open Acrobat Reader by double clicking the icon on your desktop
2. Go to the Edit menu and scroll down to 'Preferences'. In version 5, choose
'Options' In 6 choose 'Internet'
3. Un-tick the box 'Allow fast web view'
4. Click OK to save it,
5. Click Exit to close the program.
Download the latest
newsletter and Acrobat Reader should open and display the
newsletter.
With the newsletter open in Acrobat Reader, you can print the whole
newsletter or copy and paste a portion of the text in the newsletter
by clicking the icon 'Select Text Tool' on the property bar, then click
on the little down arrow next to it.
Choose 'Select Text', and highlight the text you want to copy
Go to Edit on the menu bar and choose "Copy".
Then open a document in MS Word or a new Email message. Most Windows
programs will accept the paste command.
Go to Edit/paste in the new document window and the text should be pasted
in the document.
To copy and paste a picture, repeat the above, but choose 'Select Image'
to highlight the picture.
When browsing the Net, the above method can be used to copy and paste
any article on a web page, just by highlighting text and using the Edit/copy
command.
To copy a picture, use the right mouse button to click on the picture
and select the correct command from the dialog box that opens.
